I've been asked a couple of times if I found painting, or if painting found me. It definitely found me. I’m self-taught, and have had a couple of years back painting now after a 10-year gap, with just a couple of years’ experience before that. Art is my calm, and how it comes to me is based entirely on how I feel, and what's around me at the time. My style is very diverse and mostly abstract.
Ophelia Rose is separated into brush and lens. I'm either happy for hours around engines holding a camera, or with music and a brush in my hand. The brushes tend to continue all year around, whilst the cameras come out with us over Summer. Rose is my daughter’s middle name. We use painting and photography to focus and relax her ASD streaks. Ophelia relates to a spiritual name, and a make-believe world I go to when I paint.
Our working studio is situated on the Third Floor of Brill Memorial Hall in the heart of a lovely Buckinghamshire village called Brill, and is open Friday, Monday, by appointment, and sporadically in between (Please check in with our social media updates). We exhibit at events, and within businesses throughout the Aylesbury area, offering purchases via our website and in store. This page continues to be updated with new work, so please do contact for more information, should there be something that takes your eye.

... Bec and Abbie. Abbie is currently practicing with an automatic camera, and assists with editing. She has also been involved in paint and drawing designs for our mugs, and in the gallery at point of sale. Bec works with mixed media art largely on canvas in abstract, and accepts commissions in both in art and photography.

The art room is full of life blogging moments, which Bec turns onto canvas. Every painting tells a story, and the story of each piece is passed over with the artwork. These could be influenced by day trips, feelings, parenting moments, world events...

Bec has a keen interest in motorsport and natural world photography, and has the experience of capturing the beautiful parts of both with a lens.
